Bringing Our Earth to Life and Our Full Light to Earth
Full Moon in Taurus | 26 October 2026
Living in Harmony with Nature
This Full Moon illuminates the courage to move through profound, heart-centred change, inviting us into a deeper relationship with our bodies, our magnificent living Earth and the extraordinary intelligence of life.

As this magnificent Full Moon rises in Taurus, illuminating the autumn skies, we are invited into a profound exploration of what it truly means to be alive, to belong, and to live in conscious relationship with the Earth Mother who nourishes and sustains our existence.
Taurus is the great sensualist of the zodiac. An Earth sign that draws our attention towards the body, beauty, abundance, our senses and the tangible, visceral experience of being alive. It invites us to feel the richness of life through our physical experience, through the ground beneath our feet, the nourishment of the Earth, the changing seasons and the extraordinary beauty that surrounds us.
With the Sun in Scorpio, Venus retrograde and Pluto bringing intensity to this lunar landscape, the astrological symbolism of this Full Moon offers an invitation to look more deeply at the foundations upon which we have built our lives. Taurus speaks to our relationship with security, stability and the material world, while Scorpio invites transformation, revealing what lies beneath the surface of our familiar ways of living.
What have we built our sense of security upon? What have we aligned our lives with? And how deeply does the way we are living harmonise with the natural intelligence and rhythms of LIFE?

These are powerful questions, particularly at a time when so many of the structures, systems and expectations we have inherited are being reconsidered. We have an extraordinary opportunity to explore the foundations of our lives and consciously create ways of living that bring us into a richer, more nourishing relationship with ourselves, one another and our shared source of life.
Our home. Earth. Gaia. Pachamama. Terra. Papatūānuku. Bhūmi.
So many names, cultures, languages and traditions through which humanity has expressed its relationship with our magnificent planetary home. Each carries its own history, understanding and depth of meaning, reflecting the extraordinary diversity of ways in which people have lived in relationship with the lands, waters and living worlds that sustain them.
And yet, how often do we truly consider what it means to be at home here?

We have become so accustomed to identifying home with the buildings we inhabit, the places we own or rent, the possessions we accumulate and the structures we construct around ourselves. We invest so much of our energy in creating security through the external circumstances of our lives, while beneath all of this exists a far more fundamental relationship, one that has been with us from our very first breath.
Our home, right now, as we read this, is Earth. And our first home upon Earth is our body.

Our Extraordinary Living Bodies
Consider for a moment the miraculous nature of the body through which you are experiencing these words.
This extraordinary biological vessel is a living, breathing, sensing, electrically active, fluid-filled intelligence, exquisitely responsive to its surroundings. Our hearts beat through electrical impulses. Our nervous systems communicate through electrochemical signals. Every movement, sensation, thought and response involves the extraordinary coordination of living cells, continuously exchanging information through electrical and chemical processes.
Within us, an immense and intricate world of activity is unfolding, moment by moment. Our bodies are regulating temperature, circulating blood, responding to light, interpreting sound, maintaining balance, sensing movement and participating in countless processes that sustain our lives, most of which take place beyond our conscious awareness.
And all of this extraordinary biological activity is happening here, upon our living Earth.
Our bodies depend upon the atmosphere we breathe, the waters that flow through our ecosystems, the minerals and nutrients that nourish us, the sunlight that supports life and the immense interconnected web of relationships through which our existence is made possible.
The Earth herself is electrically and magnetically active. Her magnetic field, atmospheric electrical activity, lightning, ocean currents and naturally occurring electromagnetic phenomena form part of the physical environment within which life has evolved.
There is something profoundly beautiful about recognising that the electrical activity of our bodies exists within this much larger planetary environment. We are living organisms, formed through Earth’s processes, continuously responding to the conditions of the world around us.
When I speak of the natural harmonic pulse of life, I am speaking of this extraordinary interplay of rhythms, relationships and living processes. The cycles of light and darkness, the movement of the seasons, the rhythms of the oceans and tides, the changing patterns of temperature and weather, the daily rhythms of our bodies and the countless ways in which life responds to its environment.
Our bodies carry their own intricate rhythms, from the beating of our hearts and the movement of our breath to the biological cycles that respond to light, activity, nourishment and rest. We are participants within an immense and continually unfolding living world.
And what becomes possible when we begin to cultivate a far more conscious, intimate relationship with this extraordinary reality?
For me, this is where life becomes increasingly rich, luminous and alive. Through something so beautifully accessible to us all.

Walking Is the Rich Life
Walking is what I call the rich life.
The extraordinary richness of having time to wander. To feel the Earth beneath my feet. To follow the changing light through the trees, to hear the wind moving through the grasses, to witness the clouds travelling across the sky. To become available to the magnificent unfolding of life, allowing the landscape, the elements and the natural world to become part of the experience of being alive.
Walking brings me deeply into my body. Into my senses. Into a living relationship with the landscapes through which I move.
There is a beautiful process of attunement that begins to happen through the rhythm of our footsteps, the movement of breath, the shifting textures beneath our feet, the sounds of birdsong, flowing water, rustling leaves, the scent of damp earth and the changing temperature of the air against our skin.
Our attention begins to expand. Our senses become increasingly available to the immense richness of everything taking place around us.
And this is where something truly extraordinary begins to unfold.
The more available we become to the experience, the more the experience opens.
The colours become more vivid. The light becomes more luminous. The textures, sounds, scents and subtle movements of the natural world become increasingly alive to our senses. The greens of the leaves reveal an astonishing spectrum of colour. The sunlight moving through the branches becomes a living tapestry of gold. The smallest movements in the grasses, the delicate structures of flowers, the intricate patterns of bark and stone, the reflections dancing upon water, all become invitations into an ever-deepening relationship with life.
There is so much more to see, to feel, to discover and to experience.
And the beautiful thing is that this relationship continues to open.
The more we cultivate our capacity to be present, to observe, to listen and to receive, the more nuanced and extraordinary our experience can become. We begin to recognise the richness that has always surrounded us, and our capacity to participate in it grows.
Walking becomes a way of plugging back into effortless life. A way of reconnecting with the living relationships that have always nourished and sustained us.
There is a growing body of scientific research exploring the benefits of walking and spending time in nature for physical health, attention, mood and wellbeing. Alongside these measurable benefits is the extraordinary richness of our own direct experience, the intimate and deeply personal relationship that develops through time spent immersed in the living world.
For me, walking is an ongoing conversation with life itself. An opportunity to experience the world through the extraordinary intelligence of my body, to become increasingly receptive to my surroundings, and to discover the immense beauty of simply being here.
Walking is the rich life because life itself is the richness.

Our Biological Antenna
I often describe the human body as our biological antenna.
An extraordinary living instrument, and in my experience, one of the most magnificent expressions of living intelligence we could ever hope to encounter.
Consider the astonishing range of information our bodies are continuously receiving, interpreting and responding to. Our skin senses temperature, pressure and touch. Our eyes respond to light, allowing us to perceive colour, movement, shape and depth. Our ears translate vibrations into sound. Our internal sensory systems inform us about movement, balance, position and the changing conditions within our bodies.
We are extraordinarily sensitive living beings, equipped with intricate biological systems through which we experience and participate in the world.
And so much of this activity is happening beneath the surface of our conscious awareness.
Through cultivating attention, movement, stillness, sensory awareness and time immersed in the natural world, we can begin to recognise aspects of our experience that previously passed unnoticed. We can become more familiar with the subtle language of our bodies, the changing qualities of our surroundings and the extraordinary relationships unfolding between our inner and outer worlds.
This is something I continue to explore through my walking, writing, singing, painting, movement, stillness and immersion in the elements.
What happens when we create the conditions for our bodies to become more receptive? When we give ourselves the time and space to feel? When we become radically available to the extraordinary experience of being alive?
I have come to recognise that our capacity to experience life is a continuum.
There is always more to discover.
The more deeply we inhabit our bodies, the more intimately we can attune to the living world. The more we cultivate our sensitivity, the more subtle and nuanced our perceptions may become. The more available we are to the experience, the more the experience itself continues to reveal.
And there is something so profoundly beautiful about this reciprocal relationship.
As we become more attentive to life, life becomes more richly available to our awareness. Our experience becomes increasingly vivid, textured and luminous. We begin to discover extraordinary depth within the most familiar moments, and a sense of wonder can emerge through the simplest experiences.
The sensation of sunlight warming our skin. The changing rhythm of our breath as we climb a hillside. The movement of wind through the trees. The sound of our footsteps upon the Earth. The exquisite feeling of water moving across our bodies.
These are living experiences, continually available for us to deepen our relationship with the world.
And I believe there is immense possibility in cultivating this extraordinary capacity throughout our lives.

Bringing Earth to Life and Our Full Light to Earth
This brings me to the invitation at the heart of these Full Moon Musings.
What if we began to create our lives around our relationship with the living Earth?
What if our understanding of wealth expanded to include the richness of our senses, the vitality of our bodies, the quality of our relationships, the freedom to walk beneath open skies and the extraordinary capacity to experience the world in all its vivid luminosity?
What if security became something we cultivated within ourselves through embodied belonging, connection, capability, creativity and participation in life, alongside the practical foundations that support our wellbeing?
What if coming home meant something far more expansive than arriving at a physical address?
Coming home to the body. Coming home to the Earth. Coming home to life.
To the oceans, the tides, the waters, the forests, the mountains, the soil, the sunlight and the elements that sustain our existence. To the extraordinary recognition that our lives are intimately connected with the wellbeing of the living world, and that the way we choose to live is itself a contribution.
Every day offers us opportunities to deepen this relationship.
Through the ways we nourish ourselves, move our bodies, direct our attention, care for our surroundings, create beauty, share our gifts and participate in the lives of others. Through the relationships we cultivate with the land, the food we grow, the waters we protect, the communities we nourish and the places we call home.
Through recognising that we are here to participate in the flourishing of life, bringing our creativity, intelligence, compassion, imagination and extraordinary individual gifts into relationship with the living Earth.
And perhaps this is one of the most powerful invitations of our time: to recognise that each of us carries within us a unique expression of life, something that only we can bring into the world.
Our gifts, our experiences, our creativity, our capacity to love and care, our ability to see possibility and participate in bringing it into being.
Imagine what becomes possible when we begin to cultivate our lives from this recognition.
When our relationship with Earth becomes a living foundation for how we create our homes, our communities, our cultures, our livelihoods and our collective future. When our understanding of prosperity includes the wellbeing of the landscapes, waters and ecosystems that sustain us. When the choices we make today are informed by the lives of the children, grandchildren and generations who will inherit the world we are creating.
There is something profoundly illuminating about recognising that our lives are part of an immense continuum of life, stretching through the generations that came before us and extending into those yet to arrive.
We are both recipients and creators of this living legacy.
The Earth that nourishes us today carries the accumulated richness of countless generations of life. The soils beneath our feet, the forests that shelter us, the waters that sustain us and the intricate relationships within the living world have been unfolding across immense spans of time.
And here we are, alive within this extraordinary moment, with the opportunity to participate consciously in what comes next.
To bring our full light to Earth.
To cultivate the conditions through which our gifts can flourish. To create lives of greater vitality, connection, beauty and meaning. To participate in the regeneration of our landscapes and communities, and to nourish the living relationships through which future generations may thrive.
Bringing Earth to life, and bringing our full light to Earth.
A living reciprocity. A beautiful, unfolding, symbiotic relationship through which we nourish the world that nourishes us.
And as this magnificent Full Moon illuminates the autumn skies, perhaps we can allow ourselves to feel the extraordinary simplicity of this invitation.
To come home to the body. To feel the Earth beneath our feet. To open our senses to the immense richness of the living world. To recognise our belonging within life and to bring our unique gifts into the world with ever greater luminosity.
Our lives are unfolding here, now, upon this extraordinary planet.
And every moment offers another opportunity to deepen our relationship with the magnificent experience of being alive.
One Earth. One Living Pulse. An extraordinary reality of infinite possibility.
